Crafters Feb 2015 – Felting Follies

2015_02flummeryCrafters are amazing, how many ways can we felt! Needle felting, Wet felting, Dry felting, Machine knit felting, Machine weave felting, Machine embellish felting; felting onto silk, cotton, wool; felting for fun, felting for warmth, felting for fashion – there is no end to FELTING FUN.

Melanie was needle felting owls, they were soooooooooo cute, and I believe there is a duck in progress.

Leslie was felting flowers, they are going home to have their stems attached.

Valeri was felting boots, making both at the same time with raw wool. Find the ‘recipe’ here.

But it wasn’t all about Felting, Melissa and Trousseau were making fabulous cards.

And there was the general business of spinning, knitting, crocheting, chatting and enjoying good food. We were treated to a gorgeous ‘flummery’ cake by Dorothy, hands up who wants the recipe? And thank you to ALL the domestic goddesses out there, our morning tea┬átable was a real treat. And very fitting as it was our 4th birthday! Thank you also to the photographers on the day – Trousseau, Michelle, Elizabeth, Valeri and Shirley – I culled the 122 photos down a bit ‘tho. Robyn and ?Judy – thanks for running Show and Tell – great job. Cathy showed us some terrific Sun Dyeing she did at a Guild workshop, interesting┬áresults and several of us are ready to experiment with that.
