What a great way to enjoy the onset of Spring – get together with friends to craft and chat and laugh and play. The quilters and spinners and knitters on the verandah watched a group of intrepid rafters arrive after rafting down from near Tahune, what a great sight they made. Lots was going on inside the hall; new things were being made, old things were being resurrected, the windows were opened to let out all the hot air and enjoy the cool breeze coming in. Goodbye Winter.

Irene let us know about her daughter’s “One” Art Sale of watercolours at Studio Karma 13 – 22 November, at 847 Glen Huon Road. See Studio Karma website for enquiries and to preview the gallery.

Nanna told us of her daughter’s new year visit plans which include an Ancient Methods workshop that will be held at Glen Huon, more information will be forthcoming. It sounds exciting.

Maree informed us about the perils of the Korean K5 calicivirus that may be released next Autumn. To learn more about that and support the cause, see the Facebook page, the Survey page and the Petition page.

Judy let us know about a Creative Embroidery Workshop with Aukje Boonstra, to be held at Westwinds 21 and 22 November. See her Facebook page, or her Website, to learn more, or email Aukje direct.

Next month coincides with two Japanese guests staying in Judbury for the weekend. Etsuko is a Koto player and would love to set up her traditional Japanese harp at Crafters for you to see and hear, and Setsuko is a Japanese Silk Knot maker and she also would like to show her craft and join us for the day. She will be most interested in the variety of craft on the show and tell table.
