Crafters gathered together in the hall at Judbury to catch up with one another, share news and views, enjoy a cuppa and some morning tea, buy or barter goods such as fleece, plants, jewellery, literature and hat stands, (had to be quick for those!), and even do a little crafting.
Big thanks to Shirley for running Show’n’Tell, big thanks to all the domestic goddesses who shared such great culinary offerings as apricot & apple cake, egg sandwiches, muffins to die for and more!
Liz told us about her Cornelian Quilt, designed by a local woman and inspired by Cornelian Bay near Hobart. Here is the Facebook link.
Cathy told us about The Female Factory on Mother’s Day keen to host spinners and weavers, some of us have volunteered.
For those of us that are Guild members, Deloraine group is organising this year’s Guild stall at the Tasmanian Craft Fair, see the Guild blog if you wish to know more. And see the Guild Calendar if you want to know about Camp Clayton in June, a live-in activity weekend in the north of the state.
Big thanks to Cathy for the photos this month, hugely appreciated. See Cathy’s blog, she has some great stuff there. No photos of Shirley’s Bobbin Lace Scarf which was truly beautiful, that will be coming. And remember Pauline’s bunny rabbit, made from one 17″ square of garter stitch, what could be easier! Enjoy the slideshow, hit any pic to move thru bigger images.
