Crafters October 2017

Crafters had a busy day riverside this month, what a variety of talent and items. Buy or Barter had plants, books, black alpaca fleece, hand crafted soaps and more. Show and Tell had it all; crochet, handknit, machine knit, quilt, carded fibre, yarn, baby sets. Great to see and share our skills and knowledge. Patterns were swapped, techniques were learnt, that’s what it is all about.

There were two little books left behind, so gorgeous, they will be there again next meeting. Titled Wool-Girl and the Balls of Wool, the graphics are fabulous and may inspire children to play with yarn at the same time as contributing to a bigger picture. It is a local initiative supporting a global cause, see Knit-A-Square.

Hobart Show is coming up, October 25 – 28.

Medieval Festival in New Norfolk, October 28 and 29th.

Deloraine Craft Fair 3 – 6 November, several of our members will be plying their excellent wares, as will a state-wide collective of Guild Members.

I may have mixed up who quilted what today, let me know if I have things wrong in the captions.  🙂

Time for a change at Judbury Crafters, we are looking for some new brooms to run things 2018 onwards.
